Milky Way bow above Palouse Falls

It’s that wonderful time of the year (at least in the Northern hemisphere) to camp out and sleep / stay awake under the blanket of stars, staring into the vastness cosmos; sometimes wondering on questions like – how many stars can one really see in the night sky, at any given time?

The photo is of Palouse Falls at night, in WA (USA) … trying to capture the arch/bow of the milky way across a panorama of photos, just a little after the galactic center rose above the horizon.

Austin, Texas Blue Hour

Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.

Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Any interest in this group?

Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
