This is a photo from last year at this event. I've been their photographer for the past few years and it's coming up again next month. I'm looking forward to it and hoping for some clouds like this again.
I'm doing big scenic shots like this but also individual rider photos that we will give away free as small images with the race logo watermark and riders can also order larger sizes and prints without the watermark. This giving away part is new this year but seems to be a trend in cycling events.
Any other cycling event photographers here? Just curious if you are seeing much of the trend toward free small photos for social media.

West Elk Bicycle Classic
Nice shot. I try to go shoot the CrossVegas Event when it comes to town here in September. It's a great event with last year being the first time for the event to be UCI sanctioned.
We've got plenty of 'crazies' who participate in the lower classes as well.
...as well as a few 'Legends' too :)
Fun stuff! Good photos too.
We have some races people do in costume around here too, both ski and bike.
That Vegas event looks like fun and a bit of a zoo. I've seen some good/funny handup shots from it too.
