This photograph was made when I was returning back from an annual fair in one of the villages on the outskirts of Mumbai, India. The state transport bus in which I was travelling back was full and I was sharing the last long seat with the group of shepherds. Due to an hour long traffic jam, one of the restless shepherds got up and started checking out the traffic from the big emergency exit window.
When he sat down, I showed him his portrait and he was delighted.
Magnificent lighting. Excellent decisive moment. Your copyright is extremely distracting. I would have removed the vertical lines on the window in post processing -- they tend to draw the eye away from the subject.
Thanks Gary for comments. Yes you are right, the copyright sucks. But I had some bad experiences in the past.
I did remove the lines while post processing but the entire glass looked really 'very' clean and in these buses, it not at all the case.
Great catch. I like the dirty window and I feel it lends a feeling of reality to your image. The detail in your main subject's face and the catchlight sold it for me. Great work!!
Thanks a bunch Jack for all the good words.
