"Not Quite A Fist"

This is part of a project I am doing on "Hands." This particular image is the hand of a construction worker, who could not close his hand into a fist due to an old injury.

Magnificent composition and lighting, it tells the story well. I know how important it is to copyright or identify your work, but you don't want your signature competing with your subject for attention. One thing that works for me is to make the text more translucent, around 20-30%. It's there but it doesn't draw the eye away from the work.

Thanks for the compliments!

I understand your option regarding copyright/signatures, but it's on every piece that I have on the web. All my work is copyrighted and registered, but nevertheless, the signature and copyrights are a big retardant to thievery.

It's a shame, but all online work should have a sig/watermark. I look at images like they are previews anyway, since we all see something different on our monitors.

This is an awesome shot, I love the cropping. The way the subject just barely fits in the frame creates a lot of tension and increases the drama.

Thank you Brett!!

Great shot.

Thank you Nigel!!
