First successful street shot, thoughts?

Very powerful image and great catch, but why did you choose a portrait (vertical) view? By making the image in landscape mode it would become enormously stronger and more easily tell your story. Try it by cropping off the building (church?) behind it and cropping off the lower parts of the nuns and the soldier. I think you will see how more powerful the image becomes.
All in all an excellent start with your new camera!!! Which camera did you get?

Thank you Jack for the feedback! I'm going to try your suggestions and see :). I think I went for the portrait to get the columns in, but know that I look at it better, they aren't really pronounced. I got the Canon 700D.

i agree with Jack. Just bringing down the space the columns create to just above the stain above the central nun creates a beautiful movement with the the photo. Don't have a problem with the bottom as the diagonal line begins at the bottom creating a push towards the solider. A great capture of a photo!
