New to the community, but have been a subscriber of the articles and always enjoyed the photo of the day. I have not posted much of my work yet, but will soon. However, I wanted to at least post one for viewing and would like to meet other photographers in order to be inspired and receive critiques. Hopefully my work will inspire someone as well.
I aim primarily not to edit, as the original great photographers were not able to. I do my best to shoot it as I want it to look: for some that may be a turn-off, but hopefully others will appreciate.
Looking forward to interacting and learning!
Welcome. Several experienced film photographers who also do digital now have pointed out that Ansel Adams and the other greats did post processing in the lab. Their initial images were not what they presented as their final product. I think it's best to try and get a great image out of the camera before processing, but do learn some post processing even if you don't use it - (I'm assuming here that you're shooting digiatl.) Note I'm not saying you "have to" post-process - to each his/her own.
