looking at a comparison to a similarly lit images his was softer/blured/smoothed over in the skin his highlight is a little more intense with a soft falloff into the darks and somehow his transitions from midtowns to darks are softer ...no idea how he accomplishes that other than some killer post work. but this is a good step towards emulating a really damn good photographer well done
