Nice image. I would only suggest that you consider your background. Either frame your subject against the wall or perhaps throw your background out of focus with a shallow depth of field. If exposure becomes an issue (i assume you are using available light) either pickup a small speedlight or use a reflector (can be made from white card stock) to provide fill light. I hope this helps - keep shooting.

very helpful, thank you very much...my subject was actually leaning on a pavement in a balcony and i really thought my depth was field was shallow enough coz i was shooting wide open. thanks again

Following your remark on the depth of field.
D3100 is a crop sensor, at f1.8 you will get a deeper depth of field than compared on a full size 35mm sensor. I don't mean to say that you need a full frame (FX for Nikon), only that if you compare to photos shot with the same settings on, say a D610, you would get a shallower depth of field. (Same applies with medium format and higher resolution)
When space is not a problem, you may get shallower depth of field using a telephoto, this is what I did on DX. The downside is that you must be further from your subject which is not ideal for communication and directions.

I do not know how you feel about post processing. I would personaly edit the left part of the background, either to blur or paint it to get rid of the distractions.

Very nice photograph.
I like how her skin looks authentic.
