Walk into the Fog

Another one from a foggy day at Reelfoot Lake Tennessee.

Looks like a cool scene, however, based on the processing, I'm having difficulty seeing the environment as being foggy. Are you able to upload a less contrasted version?

Was the fog very bright? Or did you dodge the background to make it pure white? Either way, the whites are overexposed. This is what causes the branches of the background trees to disappear as the bright whites are bleeding across the details of the branches. Unless there is a rising/setting sun behind it, fog is almost never pure white. It should register as a high gray in the final image, at least as depicted in this scene. Watch your histogram during the exposure and during processing to keep the right side of the curve under control.

Thank you for your feedback, The fog was very heavy but this is my style of processing. I love very heavy contrast in my black and whites so I did bump up the whites and darkened the blacks a bit.
