Hello everybody ! I intentionally went to this particular location and had in mind to take photos that I'm gonna convert to black&white but I was quite struggling with composition. What do you think about this one ? Does it looks a bit too much ? I tried to align the 3 smaller trees in front but in the same way to put the big old tree from the background in a good position.
Personally, when I see a bridge in a photo, I want to also see what goes under it. A river or a road or train tracks, etc. I can also get a better sense of the bridge's scale if I can see it from the side.
Here, I think the tracks in the snow are a bit more interesting than the leafless trees, so I might go with a tighter crop on the bridge that excludes those trees altogether, but that's a big loss of resolution that would probably render the image unsuitable for printing.
Or the trees might be more interesting if they were the only subject in the shot (no bridge).
