This body of a DC3 that my Grandfather flew in during D-DAY in world war 2 sits along the aviation school in Oklahoma city Oklahoma. And I wanted it to look like an old film picture , but then realized that I didn't put any scratches overlay on it, any thoughts?
I hope you don't mind that I post one of my pictures to illustrate. I used a Topaz texturing program to make this shot of an Avenger at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport. Maybe a bit too much of the texturing, but it gives you an idea of what you could do with your shot. You have a good basis for just such an image.
I don't mind and thanks for giving me some reference...
Hi Bobby.
If you are trying to give this a feeling of nostalgia my first instinct would be to convert to a sepia tone, and perhaps add some positive vignetting.
The image looks a little soft to me (reduced clarity?), especially the interface between cockpit and sky.
Otherwise you could add a texture in PS or use another app as David suggests.
