Fishing Starts in the Wee Hours

I live in a small fishing community and the Jersey Shore. Sometimes if I wake up before dawn, I like to head down to the inlet and shoot the fishing boats heading out. This morning was very calm and a little misty. I hope it fits the monochrome side of this group.

As always, feedback is welcome!

Nice moody image, Ms Left-Hander! It would be cheating to make the boat head the other way, so I won't even suggest it! Barely even thought of it... much...

It really is refreshing for me to see such images on this worthy forum. Less is more, and all that. So many people like to pack it in.

There is a slight processing halo around the boat, most evident just above deck level. It's slight, but with such simple images, these things stand out more.

Thanks again, Ruth, for taking the initiative.

Thanks Chris! I actually thought of you and chuckled when I posted this. I thought about flipping it but I'm an east coast girl!

That's an interesting perspective Ruth. I grew up on the North side of a river on the East coat of the UK.
When I look at this image l see a boat heading out to sea - if it were reversed I would see it as a boat returning.

I understand the left-right theory but a little discord never did anyone any harm and in this case may support the story (ie long hard day ahead).
It might be an interesting exercise to compare both.
