Skies of the west

The far off view of the Wasatch mountains from Antelope Island in northern Utah. Spring has come but the mountains are still painted in snow as winter slowly loosens its grip....skies of the west.

I like the composition and the scene is magnificent, but I think the foreground is way too dark for my taste. I'm almost losing the fencing in the shadows. I tweaked it a little, but the vignette is too dark in the corners for me to fix.

Interesting and I do have a version with a lighter foreground but the dark is intentional actually. But like you said, "for taste" and I, for some pics, prefer it that way. I'll take the mood I want over "perfection" any day of the week!

I agreed with both of you. I think the foreground is a little dark AND that you should do what you want, particularly when you are going for mood. Love the shot. Great depth. You definitely captured the West's epic wide open space feeling.
