Very interesting Joe. It is a little disorienting with the curve into the rough ceiling. At first I thought is was upside down. I like it because I keep feeling like going back and looking more. Nicely done.
I could have simply shot this from directly underneath, however, after a few shots it became more interesting with the curved ceiling if I switched to a wide angle lens and got right up to the one wall for this shot, during which I too started getting this almost upside down idea momentarily in camera. I was looking to create a subtle "oddness" to the shot, so for me, you mentioning a brief disorientation is what I was after.
