I played with the greens before converting this. I hoped it helped get more contrast and detail as the original is almost entirely green. even the stairs are covered in moss.

Definitely the first for me, Ruth. The stairs seem to be going somewhere in the first, especially because that high one is lit. The second is much harder to "read" because it's harder to discern the stairs in the dark shade. Now watch everyone else disagree totally!
Like the second one... for its unknown ...into the dark ..chris...no you have a point... i guess i am so used to B+W, where looks can be deceiving..but carries it weight into the dark side..of photography ..In other words where does the second photo with stairs take you...i went deep with it....lolo
