Nice shot. I was at a local pier a few weeks ago and was watching the gulls steal mackerel from fishermen. One of them managed to grab a fish from an angler's bag and swallow it. 12 inch bird, 8 inch fish. The fish was still wriggling inside the bird. That might have been a curious photo, but I didn't have my camera. It was quite something to see.
It's interesting how the grain of the boards seems to be going in many different directions. Is that an illusion, or is there a pattern in the way the boardwalk is laid out here?
Love this. You have to love the post-Sandu board walks with the different directions of the boards. Did you have any more room above his head? If so, i would give some back in the crop. Not a dealbreaker though!

Thanks Ruth, yes there’s a bit more boardwalk above him before the crop, just more OOF boards that I felt didn’t add to this scene.
