Everyone who shots street...correlates with the background the background makes the picture not the subject, Subjects add a dimension to the picture not vice versa.. to me anyways
The 'street' is a continuous running movie of life. We 'street photographers' capture one fleeting moment of this movie. It all goes together... the environment and the actors. It's a scene. A microsecond scene of life. If you don't see it like this then you're not a street photographer. You're just trying a make a pretty picture.
