These were growing on the side of a bridge so i was able to lie down and get this with nothing behind them. I like the image because of the lines so that is the primary emphasis I hope to make here.
I enjoy the simplicity and graphical nature if this Ruth. The only suggestion I might make is to crop a little from the left to remove some of the negative space and better balance the image.
I like this image, Ruth. You've achieved your intended aim well. Reminds me a bit of Karl Blossfeldt's plant images again.
Alan has a point, but I think the image could then get a bit cramped. Ideally I'd have a little more breathing space at top and right instead to have that balance. You could add that if you've cropped. Maybe even cheat-&-clone to extend beyond the frame if you didn't crop...
Well that's an honor. I actually have a Karl Blossfeldt which is a prize piece of mine. There was a guard rail above this and a post to the right. It is amazing when you think of how you can pluck something out of a scene like the side of the road and get something like this. Unfortunately, no more room though! :)

Well done!
Thanks Alan! I see that now about the crop and will do that.

Lucky girl to have a KB! Or maybe not so lucky, just a lot poorer after than before. ;-) Very fitting in any case.
Clone & cheat! If you agree in the first place, you can add a border and clone over it. You're not a purist, I think.
Do more like this. You've got a feel for plants on the small scale.
Looked at this image for a couple of days and I like it. It's good.
