Here are a couple long exposure shots using my original 50 year old Minolta SR-T201 and kit lens shooting Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100 II. Both images were taken just at the end of blue hour.

I just learned something new... I had no idea what Darktable was until I googled it, lol.
Fantastic and for a poor student absolutely free. Made by photographers for photographers, I am a complete convert.
One benefit of being a student is that I can use and access remotely Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for free through my school! But perhaps down the road when this isn't an option then I'll know where to go for free software. I might have to download it and play with it for fun. Thanks for sharing this info!
I guess if it is industry standard and you are going to work with other sources to share work it may be better to be an expert in the most relevant skills. Once you know ligghtroom you could probably transfer the knowledge down the line.
