While I was on my way to get coffee, I saw this building with cool cloud formation. I took out my phone and snapped a photo. I really like the contrast between the two elements in the image - the building's architectural lines and the cloud's non-linear free form. I made the image black and white so that the two elements are prevalent and not distracted by colour. I love finding small things like this unexpectedly. It's like a gem hiding in plain sight.
Please let me know what you think. I'm open to constructive criticism.
Thanks!

You are really lucky to meet a scene like this! I would say it is very wise to make this black and white, which adds a lot to the photo. This building has a very simple design, but to me, the trees made it look less simple and abstract. I would suggest to crop out part of the trees and straighten the photo (rotate the photo counterclockwise until the center line of the center building is exactly vertical). But, again, these advices are only based on my own aesthetics, so it doesn't matter if you don't like 'em.
Thank you! I thought about cropping the trees out but it would've removed the "v" shape of the clouds so I decided against it. I see what you mean though about the distraction.
And thanks for the tip on rotating the photo! I was having a hard time making sure it was straight lol. Will definitely use that next time.
Thanks again for your input!
