Ady's Sunday Stroll

When I'm shooting fashion, I try to get some type of movement at least some of the images. On this shoot, I saw how an elevated crosswalk was casting a shadow on the street. I asked Ady to walk back and forth across the street and not pay any attention to me. This was the result. I hope you like it.

Hi Hector. Very successful shot! The walking figure really pops out retinally and spatially without resorting to excessively shallow depth of field. Did you use a mask for the figure to boost the differentiation? Like it a lot.

Thanks William! I did two things on this image that serves to separate Ady from the background. First, my strobe was lower than normal. That gave highlights all the way down her leg which created separation form the shaded street. Then in post, I reduced the luminosity of the blue channel with darkened the sky and thus also helped to separate Ady from the sky.
