Hi
I`ve started trying photomanipulation myself.I`ve wanted to ask for your advice.
I`ve planned to create certain images of my own idea. It`s benn really difficult to find the rigt elements. It`s easy t o find pictures of trees, stones etc, but it`s difficult to find pictures of people in the right poses and cloths, for example Roman soldier in a certain pose, or in torn clothes. Are there any specialist websites where I can find such images? How to look for them? Or maybe there are some techniques, which allow changing people`s clothes in pictures, making them look old or dirty or torn?
I`m looking forward to your reply.

I'm new into the photomanipulation world too. In watching videos from people like Lindsay Adler they talk about making a point of constantly taking photos you can later use as stock such as skies and wall textures. But many of the things you mention you aren't going to see (like a Roman soldier). For that you could try using Google's search tool option for creative commons licenses (or similar that allows reuse), or check out any of the many stock image websites (which cost money). You could try darkening or putting a texture over clothes to make them look worn, but it probably also depends on how much you're a perfectionist. :) As someone who get dissatisfied with my own clumsy edits, I get that part, but keep trying I'd say!
