This is a self portrait about the struggle to love yourself due to outside influences, upbringing or being afraid to embrace who you really are once you lift the rug and see yourself for who you really are.
Looks like something from a handmaids tale. I like the colour and lighting - did you take a shot with one person as the subject? Having two suggests it is a relationship commentary to me.
Hi Mike, thanks for your comment. This is actually a self portrait. Both figures you see...are me! This portrait is called "The Lovers, struggle for self love" and the "Self" is me. Its a bit of an introspective piece that speaks to many people that follow my art. I had my camera on self timer, and shot each individual image against window light. I purposed leaned towards the middle of the frame, because I wanted the end result to look as if the 2 figures were leaning towards each other, like they are wanting to kiss.
