Broadbill Hummingbird not actually with Fuchsia. Painting simulation.

This composite has a painted background, and a photograph of a large Fuchsia flower, so the scale is approximately correct. The bird was photographed with high speed flash in a campground in AZ, and the flower was photographed in a garden on Highway 1 in California. The painting simulation was applied, and the original bird was overlaid on top of the painted bird at a partial opacity, in order to preserve the feather details on the bird. I made a mistake on the sequence of transformations, so that the bird's outline is far from seamless. Never-the-less, I still like the image.
