Like to learn to edit/develop RAW pics

I have a canon G7x M2 and have been learnng how to take pictures and each pic i have both the RAW and JPG format and i am very impressed by the JPG and can never get my RAW to develop equal or better than the JPGs
Is there a tutorial or a map how to get my pictures to be equal or better than the JPGs ? Or should i just use the JPGs and move on
