It's a leaning fashion photo with heavy bokeh. The fashion photo is not meant to look heavily stylized, its suppose to look and feel like a relaxed and natural fashion photo with casual clothing outdoors.
Shot in 100% natural light, with rental sigma 85 1.4 lens at 1.4 aperture. More details click the image.
Thanks Jerry your input. I think seeing a smile takes away the focus from the clothing and fashion in my opinion and from what I've studied in fashion photography. If she smiled, it would feel more like a lifestyle shot than a fashion shot in my opinion. But I've been trying to direct models to give a micro smile and every time it just does not give that fashion vibe I am looking for and what I've seen published in magazines I want to get published in.
I think this is beautiful. Her facial expression is a bit "out to lunch" as Peter Hurley would say but I think it works. My biggest complaint is her clothes. If you had her in some amazing outfit this would look incredible.
Thank you Lee, I agree, it was more of a test that came out very well, also I wanted to test my ability to make a very relaxed and casual fashion shot (with a different perspective/aperture lens). I know they are rare type fashion shots though so I know it was going to be a challenge which I wanted.
