With this photo I wanted to show the dramatic feeling one has when a baby comes into the world and to show the magical wonders of editing, by entering it into a contest for black and white documentary, so I had my camera set up and ready to shoot this photo. Ko
You have your own style that comes through in your images that I like best, Bobby, especially the monochromes. It's a soft, understated look that creates an atmosphere of mystery, and invites contemplation. It's evident here, with this very special subject, but it's there in some of your landscapes, abstracts, the old gasoline bowser, the gorilla (!).
Care to share a few words about your thinking when you were processing this? How you made your decisions in editing?
I think the black and white treatment was a great idea. It makes this have a 'historic event' feel that I think is nicely done.
Thank you Ruth , it's greatly appreciated....
