reflection on fall

I haven't posted for a while and thought it time I contributed to the group. This is an image designed to challenge the mind, of fall trees with colors pushed to enhance the abstract nature.

The capture is actually of the reflection of the trees in a foreground pond, with the image flipped 180 degrees to provide the challenge to the brain.

As always all constructive and well-meaning comments are both encouraged and welcomed

Cool idea, I think you saturated the flipped photo a bit much and would maybe keep it closer to its original color state. It reminds me of an oil painting and is quite pleasing to the eye.

Thanks Francisco, I appreciate your opinion. This is one I felt OK to push to emphasize the abstract nature and give a more painterly effect.
I see where you’re coming from, and have gone back and forth on saturation level myself many times.

Very nice before to an amazing after. Well seen and smartly flipped. This would be beautiful hanging on a wall.

Thanks for the kind words Reed- my sister actually has a large canvas print hanging in her living room!

Wow, that's a great image Alan. I agree with Reed, brilliant finish. This would also make a stunning panoramic with just the vibrant mid section of this photo. Nice clean up work, that must have been therapeutic.

My wife loves taking shots just like this, she's getting very good at it and comes back with some very good shots.

Thanks Joe. I think reflections offer a simple alternative view to our world. Good suggestion on the pano, and yes, the clean up was very therapeutic ( and lengthy....)

Love the picture, great idea and composition. Have you tried playing around with the time lapse? The water ripples are reminiscent of brush strokes. Altering the shot duration might give the appearance of different stroke lengths.

Thanks Stan. I hadn't considered varying timing on this one but I will the next time the opportunity arises.
Thanks for the tip!

This is spectacular Alan!
