Coloured image was processed in LR for tonal and WB corrections.
Conversion of BW through LR. corrected for grey tones.
Liked Both versions for its mood.

If this were my photo, I would crop off more than half of the uninteresting sky. The wispy clouds just aren't doing anything for me.

I'd also get a little creative with the B&W conversion, using some dodge and burn to highlight the buildings in the foreground and accentuate the textures of the mountains.

I feel like the foreground is too close to the bottom edge of the photo, but this can only be corrected if you have a slightly different original with more room to experiment.

@ Philip. As I remember, there were few distractions at the base so the houses got a lower in the frame. However, the distractions can be corrected later.

Colour version: I understand your take on the proportion. this food for thought is good for comparison.

BW version: I got your chromatic suggestion. Leads to develop vision independent while seeing the BWs.
