Another long-time member I'd like to spotlight at this time is Kyle Foreman.
Although perhaps not as active in the group as he once was, Kyle has been a contributing voice since 2019.
What I really appreciate about Kyle is his willingness to experiment (over a number of genres), and the growth I have seen over time.
I think we've all seen Kyle's wonderful long exposures, evening shots and stunning time lapse images of the solar eclipse. But Kyle has gone beyond that, forging himself a path in what he describes as "Architectural and Design Photography. "
I would encourage that members visit Kyle's profile page (https://fstoppers.com/profile/194079) and to his personal website (https://www.kyleforemanphotography.com/) for inspiration.
An image of Kyle's I'd like to spotlight is one that has been spotlighted on his website. This image comes with a story of how it was built, and exemplifies the meticulous effort that Kyle puts into his creations

This is well worth a visit, and if you do know anyone in the Durham, North Carolina area looking for stunning architectural shots you could do no wrong n sending them Kyle's way.
There are so many great contributors to this group it hard to single just one out. You are right Alan that Kyle's work is an strong example of just one of the many people that make this group so interesting and inspiring.
Thanks for featuring his contributions.
Oh my! I'm honored, thank you Alan.
I'm surprised anyone saw that on my website. I keep telling my self I need to be more proactive with my blog. I'm challenging my self to do at least 1 new entry a month. And the fact that you did this is motivation.
The only reason I'm not as active in this group anymore is because I'm never sure my photos really fit the narrative of the group. I could probably sneak a lot of my work in the "experimental" category. But I didn't want to post a bunch of landscape or architecture shots into a group where I'm not sure they fit.
However, I did just do some interior shots for a friend where I used my flash in a way I've never done before. It was definitely an experiment and I couldn't really be happier with the results. When I'm done with them I'll post them here too.
I also want to take moment to thank the members of this group. You all have some wonderful work. And I've been inspired to get out of my comfort zone at times and try new things I otherwise would have never thought of. 🙏
Please don't feel that your work does not fit the group themes (this applies to EVERYONE).
My wish for this group is it being a place where like-minded photographers share their passion, and help support each other.
I see the group themes as being starting points only - I view EVERY shot as experimental in some way, with learning opportunities along the way. The key point is to have members engage in discussions.
ALL member voices are important, whether that be the unencumbered view of a total beginner to the trained mid of a veteran. Even if not posting it would be great to see feedback from a broader audience.
I think regular blog entries might drive others to your site (advertising on social) as long as you have something enticing to say. The post I included is excellent as it gives an insight to other photographers on how such an image might be built.
I try to post something on my own blog fairly frequently, but TBF I'm not sure how many actually view them.
I'm looking forward to seeing your latest 'experimental' shots....
I will definitely start posting more of my "experiments" a little more often in here!
This is a great post, Alan. I appreciated it. All the links to our very own Kyle's work was a joy to peruse!
Thanks for looking Jenny - I'm sure Kyle appreciates it!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
