I have quite a collection of these so I am hoping to get an idea of the ones that really impress. I'll be posting a few at a time. I took these yesterday and today so they are the newest.
I am thinking of a series and want to put that best forward for consideration.

Wow. Those are really nice. I like the second one and the last one best. The ones in between I like quite a lot too, for that matter. The first one makes the least impression on me.
Good ones again, Ruth! I largely much agree with Kevin about their relative merits. The second really stands out in its moodiness. I like the glow in the third - reminiscent again of those Dutch oils in that respect. Overall perhaps it's my favourite. There's an almost forlorn feeling in the fourth and last, perhaps because of the really subdued whites, and their coolness in the fourth. Hard to say what holds back the first; it feels as if the lighting is flat - but it isn't!
Thanks Guys! I love the second one. I think I cropped it too tightly though and plan to add a little breathing room to the top. Its funny about that first one. Technically it is just like the rest but I agree that it is lifeless!
