lamp post - a study in technique

This is the first attempt at a new technique I'm trying to work on, shooting at different focal lengths, while maintaining subject position and size.

Admittedly not the greatest of images, but I feel the technique warrants further development to understand the extent of uses and possibilities.

Not looking for a critique, but would be interested to hear if anyone else has ideas on potential uses, or has used this technique and has good examples to share with the group.
