Vijay Mewada's picture

CONTRAST

A detail of one of the exhibit at the museum. First colour image was processed in LR to histogram tones. Later it was converted to BW. Touched up to boost the grey.

I like the colour contrast and also the contrast in BW. Unable to decide precedence. inviting all opinion.

Personally I like the B&W but I think it would depend on the application. Both I feel would work in the right space with the correct lighting.

@Bruce. Thanks

Prefer the mono, Vijay. Speaking of contrast...

Hi Chris. got your point. Did try such tonality but was lured of giving darker background to white slivers.

Fair point, Vijay. It's your image. Come to think of it, lower-contrast, somewhat low-key monochrome images are something of a signature of yours, from the earliest images I've known you to post here. It's part of your own individual style. We can have our own styles, and appreciate others'. It may not occur to me to make sombre-toned, low-key, low-contrast images like yours, but I like them all the same.
