"Less is more"

big role this small part play : the goal is to let you build the "left hand" side of the puzzle and to think of all the complex interfaces /parameters/functions this simple image can trigger.
part of a series of 3 photos.

just a Q: for a typical series/collection what is the ideal number of shots 3, 4, N.. of a subject? and do one keep it just as focused part of the subject or do one show the complete subject as well

for those who are interested in detail
Airframe Family: Grumman F-14 Tomcat
Last Military Serial: 159025 USN

Nice image, Marius. Pitot tube, or variant thereof?

I think there's no one answer to your question, and it depends on the subject, its complexity, and above all, your specific intent. Twenty images of even the best knife could be tedious, but you could do thousands of the Tomcat without repetition, although you wouldn't hold the attention of people other than militaria or aero anoraks.

As it happens, I've started just such a series on Phillip Breske's "The Extraordinary Beauty of the Ordinary World" Group. I'll probably keep it to about eight, tops, but mainly because that's about as many half-decent images I have to post of my subject.

Thank you Chris for the feedback. I will visit the group
