Three shots from Wednesday's saunter with Harry the Rescue Dog, who was in less of a rush than usual.
#1) Driveway the First. I suspect there is a little girl at this house.
#2) Xfinity/Comcast cable running across an intersection from one pedestal to another. I assume the underground cable failed and it has been too cold to run a new line under the asphalt. Maybe I'm wrong. It looked at first like a very long orange snake that swallowed something angular. I wonder what they will do if it snows and a plow comes through?
#3) Driveway the Second. My daughter used to be the little girl living in this house. Is there a pattern or mere chaos?
Andrew - i soooo enjoy the story telling of your submissions. The cable one here is hilarious. I wish you had posted it seperately as it is its own story. The two driveway shots, with their poignant story of the passing of time, the 'life goes on' theme, is really a great pairing. It is made even more powerful coming from a father who just stumbles across it while walking the dog. It really moved me! I thought of my girls, one of which is gone to her own home now and the other who is just about to fledge. No more driveway chalk for me for now ..... until one of them brings home the next generation and we each move up the generations ladder: new children, new mothers, new grandmother. I can hardly wait for that! Thank you for this nice morning coffee daydream!
