NJ Vietnam Memorial Abstracts

The NJ Vietnam Memorial at PNC Arts Center is a fascinating structure. It is a broad, perfect circle of flat panels of polished marble. If you stand with your shoulder against any particular surface and your camera against the wall, there is an awesome, fun-house style reflection. Reflected onto the surface are the white brick pathway, the sky, and other things in the courtyard. Clearly on each facet, however, are the names of those on the memorial.

Here are a few shots. While I have tinkered with the colors, there is not other editing except in the last where the sky was removed.

Hi Ruth. Great collection of photos of the memorial. I particularly like the 3rd and 4th ones. Thanks for sharing them. Cheers. Rod.

Thanks Rod!!

Hi Ruth. beautiful images yet again. I like the colour contrasts in first image and abstract perception in 3rd image particularly.

Thanks Vijay!!
