Thankyou for the praise. I know I see differently than most when looking through the viewfinder because I often hear non-photographers question, "Why did you shoot that?" Do you hear this sometimes for your images that fit in this catagory? Could it be described as "free-style photography" perhaps?
I have heard this. But, i think as we get better with composition and technique, but particularly composition, people ask that less and less. If they look at the image and it is really hitting on all cylanders, regardless of the subject, people see it is art. If they look at it and think, "why did they shoot this?" then the image probably isn't conveying the desired outcome.
This is just my opinion about my own work. I like some wierd subjects. I am always psyched when i here "that is beautiful " instead of "you crack me up photographing chipped paint!".
Does this qualify minimalist, abstract, experimental discussion in this group?
It does and I love it! Great variety in textures and lines. It's also nicely laid out.
Nice work!
