Nice! Before I read you description, I was wondering about the lighting. Great detail in a darker image. I'm not sure that I wouldn't brighten it a smidge but it works as is. Gorgeous portfolio too!

Thank you very much for the kind comments and yes, it did run through my mind about the overall exposure. I increased the stops on both lights that I used by a third of a stop each way During the shoot, and this felt like it was what I wanted to achieve, anything more gave too much of a sheen to the bars around the bulb and overtook the rim lighting. My other issue was making sure the light strands in the bulb stood out without colour bleeding on to the bars, so this was exposed for separately. Looking at it now you may well have a point though and I suppose it will come down to personal preference - I’m just a moody bugger and like my darker images 😂👍
Hey there - I have to admit that my monitor was dimmed a bit. When I brought it up, this looks perfect! I'm with you though - I have been called a dark and moody chic! My nature stuff often tends to go that way. ;)
