Taking After Alan

Here is a from the car ICM from February that I did using a similar technique to Alan's recent post, although my goal was to eliminate the details and create something more abstract. I'm not entirely happy with it, but I'm not sure what else could be done with it. Does anyone with more experience with ICM have any help? I'm talking to you Ruth and Alan.

Funny, as I have almost the exact same image taken during my road trip. I have a similar experience with that also, it's OK but not at the point I'd hang on the wall.

What I'd attempt to do in your case is to have all lines/color blocks parallel (using transform, or clone/crop etc). I'd also play with the colors (hue/saturation/brightness) to see what you can come up with

In my case I put to one side due to what I believe is a window reflection in the middle but will be interested to see your result.

That is remarkably similar. I will certainly try to get it into a straighter form, and see what I could do with the colors. I'm wondering about maybe a more pastel look. I have another project I started shooting today that I need to edit, then I'll make a post on that and update this one.

Austin, Texas Blue Hour

Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.

Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Two from Tenerife

My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.

Any interest in this group?

Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
