Since I went digital last year, I have not done any B&W even though my wife keeps telling me I am a B&W photographer shooting color. I got away from B&W largely due to economic concerns, the lack of darkroom facilities, and, frankly, my inability to handle film after my stroke.
Every once in a while, I would come across an image that I thought straddled the line as this one does and I wasn't really certain what to do about it. It's a monochrome image but grass is green.
What do you think?
Definitely black and white for me 😁
Between these two, BW !!
I'll make it 3-0. If you could bring out a bit more detail on the leaves (the main point of the photo) and eliminate a bit of the superfluous grass on the right and top...
I made a few adjustments. No changes to the cropping If I'd made it too tight, it would just be some leaves on the ground.
Now I can convert my old black and white photos to color using pixbim !!
I shoot primarily B&W, but when I do shoot color, it's because the color is part of what I'm trying to say with the image. To me this image is about the contrast between the leaves and the grass. That grass is green isn't news or IMO part of this image's story, so add me to those voting B&W
