December theme

First off, thanks to all who have posted since my request for engagement. Without comments we are never sure if anyone is seeing our content - it's great to discover folks are finding value in the group.

As we are now in December I am looking for suggestions for a new monthly theme, and as always appropriate images will be used as the weekly rotating banner.

What do we think? Snow feels appropriate for the northern hemisphere (as I look out of my window....), but perhaps not for those on Oz.

Time to work back through our traditional Minimalism, Abstract, Experimental themes perhaps, or focus on a single technique we'd like to investigate?

If I can draw from archive, snow is cool with me; but yeah, not much snow to be had at the moment.

So many directions you could take theme. ICM would be cool at some stage.

How about variations on how cold affects things - macro snowflakes, icicles, etc

This frost was taken on the roof of my car, the thickest I'd ever seen. I tried some extension tubes but the results weren't what I was hoping for.

No snow here in suburban Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, not Kansas) as of yet. Plenty of Christmas decorations to play with, however.

Dropping the theme due to a lack of general activity from the group.

If anyone has a January theme that they feel may re-energize the group let me know, Otherwise I will likely pick something to run with.

ICM?

That sounds good to me William, unless we get a number of suggestions otherwise we’ll try that.
I think it would be good for members to push themselves so perhaps this may provide a nudge and they’ll find success.
