Been spending a lot of time the past 2 weeks getting started in ICM - thanks, Alan Brown, for the articles on your website. For some reason I got it in my head I had to be outdoors to do it. It's been super cold and/or rainy the past week; so I got the "bright idea" to turn my camera indoors (Lol). This is an image of a pot of fake flowers sitting on my end table.

This image works well for me, there is a nice blend of recognizable detail along with the abstraction that gives ICM its painterly feel.
What do you think of this image? Is it one you enjoy?
For the understanding of other members it might be nice to describe how you achieved the effect (camera motion, shutter speed) if you have time.
Other options you could play with that could work with this subject are rotating the camera, or zooming. I love the image as-is, just offering options you could try to see different effects.
