I'm just posting these to finish out the August Challenge: Weather Extreme ... Yesterday we went to the park to relax and take pictures. A storm came up quickly so we had to wait it out in the car. I took these pictures of the rain pouring on the windshield with the trees, that are starting to change color, in the background. The storm brought us back to more milder weather today.

I don't really have too much to say except that I always enjoy the freedom in editing abstract photos like these.
Nice! I especially love the first one.
Same here. Thank you, Charles. I appreciate it. Hope you are well!
Love the 'out-of-the-box' creativity behind these Jennifer. This certainly provides food for thought (who says you can't shoot in the rain??).
As with Charles I particularly enjoy the first - the lack of color adds somewhat to the abstract nature of the image. I'm left wondering how the others may look if you played with hue & saturation.
Thanks for posting!
Thanks, Alan. I'm going to try tinkering with the hue/saturation (and even b&w).
I like the 3rd for the texture on the glass...they are all good.
What a great idea. I will be traveling through some High Desert, Desert, and Mountains next week...I wonder what a weeks worth of Bug Splatter looks like enhanced?
Do you know that is the last thing that goes through a bugs mind when they hit a windshield?
Their butt.
You should see what you come up with - Lol, Dean.
Very imaginative, Jennifer. I love it when abstract images are presented to us like this, only needing framing up in camera to get started. These are great! I especially like the swirling colours in the second one, and that suggestion of a figure or form writhing within it, while the third reminds me, in all the best ways, of the rich surface textures of oil painting.
Thanks, Chris. I appreciate you describing what you see. After reading, I see the figure writhing within the second one. That's perfect imagery. Thanks for commenting. Hope you are well.
I reckon I could look at a large print of that second image framed on a wall for a long time and never tire of it, Jennifer. The crop, composition and edit generally are spot-on for me. Well done!
P.S: I think you could post larger files than these in terms of pixel dimensions, Jennifer, as they deserve to come up bigger when displayed individually. I think the FS file size limit is 5MB.
Okay, thank you on the P.S. part.
