This was another set of images that I didn't like so much out of the camera. I was going to delete them as well, but instead tried layering them and playing with the opacity of the layers and the masking. I like the effect overall, but I don't like the hot spot in the upper right corner (the sun). It has dawned on me that if I have a series of images that I don't quite like, I could try the layering technique to create something more abstract.
You are speaking my language.
WOW. Very fae like!
I want so much to enlarge the photograph and get lost in the detail.
Well done Jennifer. I am all for experimenting and finding new ways to make art.
Did you try 'content aware fill' on the area you don't like (and play with the attached blend mode)? Otherwise you could clone detail from the area to the left to fill the area you don't like.
Now you've opened that can of worms I can see you spending hours having fun with others.......
Hi Alan! I found out about content aware fill about a year ago, and have used it a lot since. I did try it here, but I didn't like the result. One thing for sure, now that I started to try layering in a different way this week, THAT is the can of worms that I'll be opening this week. I've only ever used it for ITR until now. Looking forward to having fun with it.
I love the bottom half. The top? Not so much.
I agree. but I might have cropped a little higher from the bottom. Thank you, Charles. Hope you are well!
But I think the three stalks in the bottom left frame this nicely.
You're right. I can see that for sure.
Nicely done ! Actually I don't mind the bright sun in the top right corner, I believe it adds some interest to the image.
Thank you, Ian. I appreciate you taking the time to give feedback.
