Here are just a bunch of old experiments with bubbles. They're several years old, but I reopened the originals in Photoshop to play around with them now.
Unfortunately (to me) in the first two, the tablecloth texture showed through. I didn't notice until in post.
Just soap bubbles in a glass baking dish with light coming from different directions (below, above, side, etc). The colors were from food coloring.
Hope you enjoy!
WOW - these are neat...the 1st one looks like an eye - the 3rd one looks like it could be an alligators eye popping out of the water OR a women's naval, the 4th one looks like another eye of an alligator - the 5th & 6th photos look like those small stones that you put into a glass with pens (I don't know what they are called).
These photos are different that what they actually are...I like Jen!
Thank you, Don, for your comments; I appreciate them! I love that you see "stories" in these. I always enjoy finding stories in images too.
To misquote Pooh:
"Nobody could be unhappy with bubbles."
I thought the table cloth texture was intentional. It absolutely belongs in the story.
These are really interesting Jenny, each asking questions. I like that all task the audience with dissecting what they are looking at.
I think all your initial experiments are worthy of revisit, who knows what else you may come up with?
Great job. I think the best ones are the 4th and 5th ones. The tablecloth texture is just fine. A viewer wouldn't know it is one.
Really like all of these.
