Welcome to the Sports Photography group! I hope that this can serve as a place for sports photographers of all experience levels to share their work, discuss the industry, ask for advice, or whatever else that falls in the realm of sports photography.
Rules for CC:
1.) Keep it constructive
2.) Don’t be a jerk
That’s about it.
I'd love for you to leave a comment introducing yourself so we can all get to know each other a bit better.
I’ll start. My name is Nick Leyva. I do a lot of freelance stuff to pay the bills but I have been shooting UCF sports for the past 3 yrs and currently shoot Orlando City Soccer Club home games for themaneland.com . I love shooting sports because it is where i get to mix my 2 favorite things in the world, photography and sports.
Fav. Sport: Boxing
Nikon > everything (had to troll a little bit)
Look forward to talking/sharing with you all!
Hi, my name is John Williams. I have only just begun my journey as a photographer. I bought my first DSLR a couple months ago and I absolutely love it. I played sports in High School and I know how important these moments in sports are to athletes. This is why I am interested in sport photography. The ability to capture such a memorable moment in the lives of these athletes is an inspiration for me to improve. I am always looking for constructive criticism since I believe there is still so much I have to learn.
Favorite Sport(s) : Baseball and Football.
UCF Undergraduate
Hi, my name is Matt Starkey. Im a senior in high school, and will attend Ohio University for photojournalism in the fall. I love all sports, but I love football more than anything else. I mostly shoot high schools sports for profit now, but I also shoot some college football. I own a nikon D4s and I love it like a daughter. Im always looking for critics because you get more from one critic than 100 people praising you
If you picked the photo for the group, I love you!
lol thank you!

I also Iike portrait photography and nature also is great to do but most of the time I'm photographing soccer.
I hope that I will be visiting this site a lot in the future and show some of my work.
Question for the group. Is this the right group for Motorsports photography? I saw a automotive group put it looked more like single car/personal car photos. I have posted some samples of my work and would like to chat with others for ideas and constructive criticism.
