Hey guys, new to this group and would love some thoughts on an image I took of a friend of mine's son. First time working with kids so I'd love your thoughts!
You definitly have a good connection with the kid, that's the most important, and the colors in the image are well harmonized! Sources of improvement could be :
1. Retouching the shirt a little bit (remove noticeable hairs on it or beside it), and you could make the shoulder part of the shirt more straight with the liquify tool.
2. The light is a little bit too high (long loop shadow) and too close to the subject (highlight on his right arm and right side of the face) for my taste. Maybe I would have moved it a little bit farther and more to the center. Don't know for sure if I'm right here.
3.If possible, I wouldn't have included the floor in the shot. Or, at least, I would be curious to see what the image would have looked like without it.
Those are only my opinions, not facts! I hope they can help. Cya!
I definitely agree, I was focused more on the face and skin tones when I retouched it, I overlooked the shirt. It's also a picnic table behind him, but that's an interesting point, I didn't consider cloning out the table to see what it would look like with just stone behind him. Might be something I play around with when I clean it up a bit.

Thanks for the critiques!

Again, I appreciate the feedback!
You're welcome! :)
