Red Cliffs

Landscapes are always a lot of fun, for me anyways. For this edit I worked mostly on colors, some highlight/shadows, removing that rope, and water color.

I had the hardest time working on the water color itself. The water was coming down pretty heavily, due to the rainstorm that was in progress when I took the shot, so there was a lot of dirt and sand that was tinging the water to more of a brownish color.

I wanted the image to have a slightly cleaner look, so it took me a little while to adjust the highlights and overall tone of the water to get it where I liked it. I'd love to hear your take on it, and to hear if you would have done anything different.

Von der Decken's Hornbill

A bird I have not come across before. In my ignorance I just assumed it was a variety of Toucan.

I feel fortunate to have ben able to capture it with my lens.

I felt very fortunate to capture this beautiful bird. I have not heard of this bird before and in my ignorance assumed it was a Toucan variety.
