A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)
For iPhone users - a new version of Bluristic has dropped (v1.8) which offers new features and significant improvements in stability & useability.
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5.
NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

Great stuff, William!
Love that the treeline mirrors the roof extension, enhancing the spherical shape of the sky. And how there's all kinds of depth information without feeling too distorted. I would imagine some prefer object oriented compositions, but I like how spatially oriented this is by not overpowering us with the lap pool or pool house. Also seems appropriate in tone, color, and comp for this style of architecture.
The only little quirk is the single contrail in the sky. 'Feels' like a scratch on the image.
Would be great to know a bit more about your post-processing, the reasons you decided on this comp, and if you had any specific concerns.
Thank You E. Port,
This was a Test Comp as I was just surveying the Property, I was restricted as people were inside the Home and I wanted something to gage what I wanted for later, Yep I was Kinda Happy to see the Contrail, as The Storm Erika was off shore, But easy enough to get rid of, I used Lightroom on most of this then Photoshop for some Few Lights and darks masking adjustments, My concerns are My Twilight and how much lighting is there, and how much I need to fill, as the sun will set behind me in this capture and will do the Lap Pool with the Boat Dock stage Left, weather Permitting
I like this image a lot. The only thing that I found a bit distracting are the strings hanging off the right umbrella. Should be an easy fix in PS.
Edward, Me too after i Posted it, Looked kewl on my Big screen iMac at first really natural, But agreed
