This is my very first post here on Fstoppers. I am an architecture photographer mainly, based in the Canary Islands (Spain) but I am in love with nature, hiking and I like cultural habits to be kept fresh. So I started this personal project of mine which consists in recreating and photographing scenes with impressive nature/sights which could have taken place many years ago.
In this particular case I chose to photograph a couple enjoying a sunset by the sound of a 'timple' (canarian type of guitar) in the Teide National Park while the 'Tajinaste' (Canarian type of flower which only grows at great heights) was at it's best just before the sun dissapeared behind the old volcano.
I used one speedlight to recreate the light from fire at their feet, and a second strobe camera left high up to light up the couple and the flowers. I hope you like it and would love to hear your thoughts.
This is beautiful! I have been wanting to visit the Canary Islands forever. :)
